In 2026 we are running a Women & girls ONLY umpiring course!

 

ℹ️ Join us on Sunday 12th April at Ely College for a full-day course designed to give new umpires the key skills, knowledge and confidence to stand as an umpire.

What you will learn on the course...

✅ Understand the umpire’s role in the game

✅ Learn the basics of umpiring with confidence

✅ Master appeals and key dismissal decisions

✅ Communicate clearly with players & coaches

✅ Judge when it is safe (or not) to play!

 

This course is a mix of classroom and practical learning and also includes some e-learning prior to attending on the day.

The course will be delivered by two active female umpires.

ℹ️ Minimum attendee age is 14.

 

Cost of the course is £70.

Candidates from Cambridgeshire who join before 31st January will receive a bursary refund on attendance and completion of the course of £35.

 

No prior experience of umpiring is required.

By the end of the course, you will have the confidence and skills to umpire within recreational cricket.
